san tan ford’s tim hovik and gr8fr8 logistics’ julia macaluso were honored june 22 as gilbert’s businessman and businesswoman of the year by the gilbert chamber of commerce. Hovik and macaulso were among several award winners celebrated at the chamber’s 16th annual
business
award luncheon at the san tan elegante conference center at the gilbert doubletree by hilton hotel. Other award winners included:
employer of choice: rocket space;
leadership alumni: mark newman, newman realty;
small business of the year: wrapped with ribbon;
midsized business of the year: envision painting;
large business of the year: buffalo wild wings;
chamber volunteer of the year: matt streeper, salt river project; and.
The gilbert chamber of commerce hosted its fifth-annual businessman and businesswoman of the year luncheon wednesday afternoon, in which the chamber highlighted the success of gilbert’s top businessperson. Winners of businessman and businesswoman of the year were jw rayhons, president of rayhons financial solutions, and joan krueger, senior vice president of re/max solutions. Rayhons began his business 15 years ago, focusing all his efforts toward assisting his clients live a particular lifestyle they desired. Within the past few years, rayhons financial solutions has experienced revenue growth of more than 16 percent, and in 2014 experienced a revenue growth of 41 percent.
Gilbert chamber of commerce announced today the recipients of the 2018 annual business awards and recognized chamber leaders at a luncheon. Individual nominees were eligible for categories including volunteer of the year, gilbert leadership award, and businessman or businesswoman of the year. Business nominees were eligible for categories including employer of choice and large, mid-size, or small business of the year.
Gilbert Community Excellence Awards
(gilbert, ariz. – oct. 29, 2020) — the arizona association for economic development (aaed) has announced the recipients of its annual economic development distinguished by excellence (edde) awards. The prestigious edde awards honor individuals and companies that have made significant contributions to the advancement of the organization and to economic growth within the state of arizona. Recipients were selected from a pool of nominations made by members of aaed. The william lampkin award for long term excellence in economic development, presented by the pat davis design group, inc. , was given to greg tilque, cecd, whose career and significant contributions to economic development in gilbert and the valley span more than 30 years, while jennifer graves, cecd, deputy economic development director for the town of gilbert, was named economic developer of the year – large community, presented by sigma contracting.

Some of the largest industries in gilbert are professional services (2,052),personal services & consultants (738), and locksmiths (493).
Since 1978, the gilbert chamber of commerce has proactively served as the business advocate to strengthen the business climate in gilbert. The chamber serves as a catalyst for growth within the local business community.
